National testing agency NTA will be conducting the national eligibility come entrance test NEET 2021 for admission  into various medical courses. Ministry of Human Resource Development has given that task to NTA to conduct the NEET 2021 Nation wide on 12th September 2021. Thus,  the role of NTA is to

  • Declaration of result and rank in NEET 2021.

NEET UG 2021 Cut off

Admissions to all the undergraduate programs in medical will be done by the NEET 2021 entrance exam. Seats will be filled through the NEET 2021 for various medical programs under the following quota:

NEET 2021 Exam Highlights

NEET 2020 Cut off

All India merit list of NEET 2020 will be prepared by the NTA on the basis of scores obtained by applicants in NEET examination. In the given table we have mentioned expected category-wise cut off which may differ from the actual cut off. Take a look below sections for detailed information.

  • General category candidate has to secure minimum 50 percentile in NEET 2020
  • Whereas the candidates from without category such as scheduled caste scheduled tribe OBC have to secure minimum 40 percentile in NEET 2020.
  • And PWD category candidates have to secure minimum 40 percentile in NEET 2020

NEET 2020 Tie break

If two or multiple candidates secure same marks or percentile in NEET 2020 then inter-se merit will be applicable for tie breaking as stated below:

  • topmost preference will be given to that candidate who scored highest marks in the Biology section.
  • 2nd preference will be given to that candidate who scored higher marks in the chemistry section
  • next preference will be given to that candidate who has attempted less questions but with more correct answers.
  • and in last candidate older in age will be given preference.

Merit list for counselling under 15% All India Quota

In this each medical institute has to reserve the 15% of total seats in medical courses for the students who fall have opted for 15% All India Quota. NTA will prepare the merit list for 15% all India quota seats. List of candidates will be submitted to:

  • Directorate General of Health Services
  • Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
  • Government of India and Ministry of AYUSH
  • Govt. of India

Merit list for seats  85% State Quota

In this 85% of the total seats in the state college/institute will be reserved for those candidate who have opted for seats other than 15% All India Quota. The counseling authority for Merit list for seats other than 15% All India Quota will solely depend on All India Rank scored by the candidate in NEET 2020.
